As its "Centenial" project, the Peninsula Rotary Club built a picnic shelter for Newport News' "Boundless Playground," a playground in Deer Park that has the advantage of letting disabled children use and enjoy the same playground equipment as their friends and siblings. The club is now putting the finishing touches on its second picnic shelter at the playground. On July 9th the floor of concrete pavers was installed.

Carmen Lyra Ceremonies Aug 10, 2009 On their trip to Costa Rica in early August of 2009, a delegation of ten from the Peninsula Rotary Club attended a dedication ceremony for the Carmen Lyra project, a joint project of the Peninsula Club and the Escazu Club of Costa Rica.
And, of course, most of us can't resist the famous Spare time in Costa Rica Aug 10, 2009 On our trips to Costa Rica, we do not avoid enjoying what the country has to offer.
