Tennis Ball 2018
November 17, 2018
For several years the venue for the Tennis Ball has been the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
Above, lined up out front, are the vehicles (and a boat) to be auctioned off.
The Tennis Ball this year was sold out.
Among the notables speaking was Jennifer Boykin, executive vice president of Huntington Ingalls Industries and president of Newport News Shipbuilding.
Above are a few of the auction items. In all there were 541 items available for auction from hundreds of companies and individuals.
On the left is some of the Club leadership. On the right we see some of the Peninsula Club Rotarians and most of the CNU Rotaract
Club who were present. The Rotaract Club volunteered to be roving geeks, helping people use the electronics needed for bidding.
Shown here are most, but not all, of the members of the Virginia Peninsula Rotary Club who were present at the Tennis Ball.
The Peninsula Club, along with An Achievable Dream, cosponsors the Tennis Ball.
